Make your schedule at least on the previous night so that you know where to go and what to do beforehand without having to take random decisions at the spur of the moment. This would make life so much easier since you will not be neglecting anything or forget to do an important thing that needed to be done on that day.
Take a break
It is not good to drive yourself to the breaking point. Even if you have tons of work to do and the deadline is fast approaching still you should take a break at least for ten minutes before you continue working. Your mind needs to take a break even if you don’t want it to. So take breaks and allow your mind to rejuvenate that is the easiest way to increase efficiency.
Get a good night’s sleep
Pulling an all-nighter won’t be bad just once or twice but if you continue to do that frequently then your brain doesn’t get time to properly shutdown and restart in the morning. Hence your work becomes slow and inefficient. Your decision making too might be affected and the way you handle people (sleep deprived people are the first to snap at someone or be grumpy and complaining) also gets affected.
Eat a balanced diet
Eat well but don’t eat too much. Avoid junk food and instant food that you grab on the go. Take your time off to sit at the table with your family and to enjoy a good healthy home cooked meal. It not only helps your body but it also helps you to communicate and spend time with your family members and friends.
Find out ways to ease the tension in your body and mind
There are easy ways to make sure that your body is in the right physical condition. For an example you can use the back massager machine to get that tension out from your back muscles. You can listen to soothing music while you are working and have a small stroll down the park to get some fresh air. Try changing the environment even for bit without being cooped up in one place for a long time like your office cubical. If you are absolutely stuck in the same environment then try to improve it by accessorizing it and making it colourful. For an example you can decorate your office table with little trinkets and colourful pictures of your family and get a lively color for the curtains, get a comfy chair etc.
Have a positive outlook
Don’t be too negative. Try to see the best in every situation and person. If you keep thinking negative thoughts it will affect your performance. For an example if you think negatively about your work then your mind starts to hate it thereby reducing the willingness to work. Low willingness to work reduces efficiency of the work. So it’s all up to you to make sure that you don’t give out a negative vibe.
